The difference between the two surfaces of the glass file is not easily noted by touch. However, the difference is very noticeable when filing. I use the rougher surface to shape and the other to smooth and finish the nail edge. The file is comfortable to hold and use. Possibly a little short as my grip was often lost. This would not stop me from purchasing another in the future. I do not carry a glass file in my purse as I have dropped them in the past and of course they break.

I have the diamond file which is wonderful. The two surfaces are great - - one to file and one to finish. It is slightly flexible and very thin which is wonderful for small toenails. The glass file works only for big toes.

I use the diamond file on both fingernails and toenails. The glass and metal files have shown no adverse wear and tear. They clean up easily. Eight to ten US dollars for the glass file is an acceptable price range.

I've been using glass files for many years. The fine side of this file is the best I've used. I would like it to be fine on both sides. In any case, I would happily buy the file if offered

I'm a glass nail file girlie and have been using them for about 15 years. This by far is the BEST one I've never used. I love that it's not pointy on one end. I love the courser side because it saves so much time. I've never had one with a course side before. You can tell it's a high quality file. The only thing I would like to improve this is to have a case that encloses it. I've broken 2 nail files simply by dropping it on my bathroom floor. I'm not a fan of plastic but in this case a plastic case would be handy.

The glass file has beat out my favorite diamond file. Although there is a small learning curve (that first screech on the smooth side!) I’ve found that I no longer get little tears along the edges of my nails—the kind that, after a dry manicure seem to catch on my shirt or sweater, even after a coat of polish. Could be my nails or filing technique but I think that the glass file provides a smoother edge. I still throw the diamond file in my back pocket or bag to avoid breaking the glass file but now I rely on the glass file when doing my weekly dry manicure. Definitely worth $7-$8 for annother alternative in the tool box.

Thanks for the great opportunity to test out the glass file. Here’s my feed back;

Firstly the file feels solid and balanced in either hand and I can get a strong comfortable grip. I never feel out of precision control or that I might cut the surrounding skin of the nail I’m filing. I like the rounded end also. I can file and not worry about stabs.

I can definitely feel the difference in grit on both sides and use them both. I don’t have a preference but notice if I want to re
move length I use coarse grit and to refine shape I use the finer.

I use the glass file more your diamond file and emery board (but I use those too and like them.) I’m not sure how I actually decide which I reach for it’s just a feel thing. I am a home manicurist and even after many years and watching your videos I still just usually guess which will give me the almond shape nails I want. My non dominant side is always better looking no matter what file I use.

The file itself holds well after using for a few months and cleans perfectly. It’s very visually appealing! I would purchase another one when and if you offer it in your online store and definitely recommend it to others.

I’m not a designer so I can’t think of any immediate changes that might improve the file. I think it’s an excellent quality product and I’m going to keep using it!

This is the glass file I didn’t realize I needed! The rounded top is so nice and offers such control. When I go back to trying my other glass files that have a pointed top I feel almost clumsy. I use both sides of this file. I am able to keep my nails at my preferred length with the coarse side and then I like to smooth it out with the finer side. For the side walls (so that I can be extra careful) my go-to is still the ultra thin diamond file from Anna’s shop. I’ve been using these two files in tandem together since I received the glass file. It has not chipped nor cracked. I keep it in the sleeve that it came in and then also in the pouch that it came in as well in my purse. I will definitely purchase more so that I can have them in different places around my house, work and car. When I am able to get more, I will be throwing out my pointed glass files.

Love the fine side. It’s super gentle to the nail, feels like it’s sealing the edge. Would prefer a little bit thinner side to trim my nail edges a bit better (thin and close to skin nails). Would definitely purchase and recommend.

This guide has changed my nails for the better and taught me more about nails as a whole. Love the care and dedication to better nails for all!

I am using the smoothing salve on my toe nails. The cuticles are getting much softer and easier to deal with.

I have been using Anna’s metal file, orange sticks, and salve regularly for almost a year. I love the quality of these products, they have made such a difference in my nails and nail contour. With Anna’s incredible videos on how to do weekly maintenance, these tools are a necessary part of my self-care routine.

This is a fantastic gift idea for friends and family. A lovely starter set to help them on their journey to beautiful natural nails. Love that they came with the cotton pouch. I’ve personalized mine with messages for each of my sisters.

I have used a glass file before but the quality and length of this file is very pleasing to use. The length of the file is just right for filing around the nail in a comfortable position. It leaves a nice smooth finish on the free edge too. It's nice addition to the other tools in the kit.

Anna's personalized nail assessment was incredibly helpful. I received my assessment in a timely manner, the advice offered was spot on accurate. Anna even followed up with me to make further inquiries & she informed me of filing issues I did on the side of my nail which needed to be addressed by shortening my nail, until the small break grew out & not to file the side of my nail. Also, made helpful recommendations on nail & skin care using products that are gentle. Patience, more care, less correction, good advice that works!
